Concrete shaving is a more aggressive technique than grinding. A concrete shaver uses several vertical blades to deeply remove concrete surface materia, from 1/4 “ to as deep as 1”l. The result is a textured surface profile that can then be smoothed out with a grinder or receive a self leveling topping. This solution is very useful for severely textured or damaged flooring to restore it to a level state.
